MY BLASTOFF NETWORK UPDATE.....

MY BLASTOFF NETWORK EXPERIENCE.....

This is just a quick update on my experience with the Blastoff Network. In my previous Blastoff Network Update, I mentioned I sent a message in the Blastoff Network Community Message Board to inquire how long it would take for a cash rebate that had been approved to be paid. The response was that the payments should be made in the next cycle of checks that would be issued which was February 15, 2010.

Over the weekend, I checked my account the weekend of February 21, 2010, and the cash rebates marked as "APPROVED" had been upgraded to "PAID", which means I have $27.62 coming my way soon. Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to get to my P.O. Box to see if it's arrived. When I checked my account, I also noticed that cash rebate for the flowers I ordered for Valentines Day had credited to my account.

I still have approximately $28.00 due from previous purchases that are still "PENDING" that need to be upgraded to "APPROVED". I sent an email to customer service so they can follow up with the merchants I made purchases from previously. I'll keep you posted on how that goes. With my next post I hope to report more good news that I've cashed my check and expecting to get another check soon.

WHAT IF 100,000 PEOPLE.......

I was thinking, we’re in the midst of tax season and soon people will be receiving their tax refund. For some people, a tax refund is like getting extra money they didn’t expect or having someone repay a loan that they forgot about.

Then I got to thinking, "what if 100,000 people donated $10 from their tax refund to Haitian Relief efforts?" That would be $1,000,000.00 in donations. In receiving a tax refund, it’s money we’ve managed to do without all year long. So I ask, would we really miss $10.00 from our tax refund? For those of you that say you would not miss $10.00, I challenge you to donate $10 of your tax refund to the charity of your choice helping Haitian earthquake victims.

But I won’t let you go empty handed. For your display of generosity, Gifts For One Gifts For All will give you a DONATION REFUND in the form of a $10 eCOUPON to its online gift store. A minimum purchase of $20.00 is required to redeem the eCOUPON. With a purchase of $30.00 or more, 20% of your purchase will be donated to the charity of your choice. Now what if the 100,000 people redeemed their eCOUPONs for a purchase of $30.00? I estimate $4.00 would be donated per order times 100,000 to equal an additional $400,000.00. There’s the potential to raise $1,400,000.00.

There are several organizations raising money for Haitian earthquake victims. One website that has recently caught my attention on Twitter is A Home In Haiti (http://ahomeinhaiti.org/).  The organization operating this website has led an effort to acquire tents for Haitians before the rain season begins.  This website allows donors the option of purchasing a tent directly from their website and they've arranged for free shipping of the tent donation to their facilities or allow donors to make a donation to the organization for tents to be purchased.  I have made one donation through my fundraiser donating $0.50/new follower on Twitter or this blog to Haitian Relief efforts and I'll be making another in the near future.

While the focus is on raising money for organizations providing relief for Haitian earthquake victims, I understand that other not-for-profit organizations are experiencing difficulties raising funds for their programs. Therefore, the Gifts For One Gifts For All Donation Refund is extended to any not-for-profit organization benefiting from the donation of your $10.00 tax refund.

To receive your Donation Refund, follow Gifts For One Gifts For All (www.twitter.com/Gift41Gifts4All) on Twitter or send an email to info@giftsforonegiftsforall.com and type “DONATION REFUND” in the subject line. You'll receive a response providing the eCOUPON code for $10.00 OFF at Gifts For One Gifts For All on 3,000+ gift items.

Please share this blog post with your family and friends.  Don't forget to read the other blog posts for other ways Gifts For One Gifts For All is helping Haitian earthquake victims.

FIRST OF MANY DONATIONS MADE TO HELP HAITIAN EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS!

Gifts For One Gifts For All Too recently made the first of many donations to help Haitian earthquake victims for $100.00 in addition to previous donations made.  We've also given hundreds of $10 eCOUPONs and expect to donate 10% of the net proceeds when the recipients redeem them at Gifts For One Gifts For All.

In a previous post, Gifts For One Gifts For All Too pledge to use this blog and the online gift store, Gifts For One Gifts For All to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims.  There are several ways this will be accomplished, including but not limited to:
The income raised from the methods described above will be donated to Save the Children to help my wife reach her goal of raising $3,000.00 through the FirstGiving site.

Save the Children is an organization my wife has been involved with for a number of years as a sponsor of a child from Haiti and they have a good track record with Charity Navigator of having 90%+ of donations being used for its program expenses as opposed to adminstrative and fundraising expenses.  If you're interested in making a donation to help her reach her goal, I have included a widget below for your convenience.  If you're interested in starting your own fundraiser, visit http://www.firstgiving.com/ and search for Save the Children or the charity of your choice.

I want to thank my new Twitter followers and encourage you to follow this blog as well as share it with your friends.  Remember, we're donating $0.50/new blog follower as well.
