HELP FUND A DOCUMENTARY ON HOMELESS VICTIMS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS

I happened to come across this fundraiser on Microgiving.com a young woman is doing to fund a documentary on homeless victims living with HIV/AIDS.  The fundraiser is titled, PAY FOR MY YEAR OF PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICHES, which I thought was an interesting title for a fundraiser.  Once I read about the project, it makes since because all she asking is for a weekly donation of what it would cost to purchase items to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

For some of us, the weekly donation could be what we spend on lunch. What if you decided to simply take your lunch to work, maybe a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and donate your lunch money to this fundraiser?

You can make your donation using the widget below.

As an incentive/reward for donating, I'll provide a discount to my online gift store, Gifts For One Gifts For All.

After making your donation, email info@giftsforonegiftsforall.com with proof of your donation and you will receive the coupon code with instructions.  Thank you in advance for supporting this fundraiser for the
Pay For My Year Of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches fundraiser.  Don't forget to share this fundraiser with your family and friends.

FIRST OF MANY DONATIONS MADE TO HELP HAITIAN EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS!

Gifts For One Gifts For All Too recently made the first of many donations to help Haitian earthquake victims for $100.00 in addition to previous donations made.  We've also given hundreds of $10 eCOUPONs and expect to donate 10% of the net proceeds when the recipients redeem them at Gifts For One Gifts For All.

In a previous post, Gifts For One Gifts For All Too pledge to use this blog and the online gift store, Gifts For One Gifts For All to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims.  There are several ways this will be accomplished, including but not limited to:
The income raised from the methods described above will be donated to Save the Children to help my wife reach her goal of raising $3,000.00 through the FirstGiving site.

Save the Children is an organization my wife has been involved with for a number of years as a sponsor of a child from Haiti and they have a good track record with Charity Navigator of having 90%+ of donations being used for its program expenses as opposed to adminstrative and fundraising expenses.  If you're interested in making a donation to help her reach her goal, I have included a widget below for your convenience.  If you're interested in starting your own fundraiser, visit http://www.firstgiving.com/ and search for Save the Children or the charity of your choice.

I want to thank my new Twitter followers and encourage you to follow this blog as well as share it with your friends.  Remember, we're donating $0.50/new blog follower as well.

WHAT IS THE BLASTOFF NETWORK???

MY BLASTOFF EXPERIENCE

A months ago, I posted a blog entry about Gifts For One Gifts For All joining the Blastoff Network and I wanted to provide an update on my experience. I happened to check my rewards or commission earned on previous purchases made. My Rewards total was $48.58 and of this total, $23.12 had been approved for payment and $25.46 was still pending for approval.

The purchases I made were for airline tickets and a rental car for the Thanksgiving holiday and luggage I purchased just before the Christmas holiday. The airline tickets and rental car purchase was not credited to my account until the services were provided. Purchases for luggage appeared as expected on the account. Just as I began to wonder when the purchases would go from “PENDING” to “APPROVED” a portion of the purchases status change.

Today I signed on to the Blastoff Network community, which is a customer support message board. I decided to post a question to find out when I would receive the check for the purchases approved. Within about 20 minutes, someone had responded to my question. I was informed I would receive a check when the next cycle of checks are issued in mid-February. The online approach to receiving cash rebates makes it possible to track the progress of your cash rebate and I think this could be the new alternative to mailing in receipts to claim a rebate and the worry of missing the deadline to receive your cash back reward.

Another good thing is that my purchases where made through online retailers I’m familiar with and have used before like Priceline.com and Budget and I discovered a new store, Luggage Online. I simply had to accessed their sites from the FREE Blastoff Network website I created that combines news and information, music and video players, games and social networking tools like Twitter and Facebook in one place. I also have access to 400+ online retailers that are part of the Blastoff Network that provide notices of specials, promotions or electronic coupons available for extra savings in addition to the cash back rebates.

I see the Blastoff Network as a tool Gifts For One Gifts For All Too can use to help people save money when they shop online as well as help them earn extra money. I also see the potential for this to be a way not-for-profits can raise money. In fact, I’ll be donating the income generated from my Blastoff Network to help Haitian earthquake victims and you can help me if you decide to join my network or shop through my site.
